Zephyrus V2 RTA by Youde

Zephyrus V2

Today, I will be doing a review on an RTA (rebuildable tank atomizer)  made by Youde (UD). Youde is a company well know for their quality range of products in the vaping community. Over the past period they have released quite a few successful atomizers like the Bellus, Goblin, Goliath and last but not least the Zephyrus. The atomizer that I will be reviewing today is the Zephyrus V2, this version is an improvement to previous model the Zephyrus V1. During this review we will also be looking at the differences between the two tanks V2 vs. V1.

Build Quality

Zephyrus V2 The materials used in this tank are quite good (304 stainless steel)  and the finish is nice, I didn’t notice any rough edges or threads and the tank came perfectly clean (no machining oil whatsoever).

Mine tank came in stainless steel and so far it has stood the “test of time” fairly well. I have abused this tank quite a bit since for almost 1 month  it has been my daily vape. I didn’t encounter any leaks with the Zephyrus V2 as compared to V1 which would leak from time to time even with the prebuilt OCC heads (coils). The 510 pin on this tank is non-adjustable, I wouldn’t recommend the usage of this tank on the hybrid. The 510 pin is mounted around a rubber gasket, this can be removed however I would not recommend this since over time the rubber gasket can get loose and your 510 pin will begin to move side-ways.

I didn’t have any issues with pairing this tank to any of my mods, it has made a connection with all of them. The Zephyrus V2 also features  a unique design to prevent condensation, with the previous version I have had some issues with condensation building up near the airflow holes. The tank can be taken fully apart, even the airflow control ring can be removed for cleaning.

Looks

I have to be honest with you this is a good looking tank, especially with the preinstalled black O-rings. I also like the fact that their branding is quite subtle and looks very appealing to the eye. The tank also features a quick and easy top fill design, much more easier to fill now as opposed to version 1 where you had to take the small rubber gasket off and try to fill the tank through 2 small holes, in most cases I needed a medical syringe for a clean fill.

Zephyrus V2 and V1

The airflow control ring has also been redesigned to prevent condensation at the bottom of the tank. For a tank that has a 6ml capacity this is fairly compact and low profile. What I really miss from the previous version is the heatsink, I really like the look and functionality of the heatsink however with this redesign this is no longer possible because this will make top filling a bit tricky, you would have to take off the heatsink with the drip tip and then open up the filling ports.

Coil Master DYI Kit V2 Review

Today I will be doing a review on the Coil Master Do It Yourself Kit version 2. The reason why you would want to purchase a coiling kit would be to make your own coils, in my case I didn’t have any tools laying around that would be suitable to coil builds. Instead of buying individual tools (screwdrivers, pliers, scissors, etc)  I have found this kit to be suitable for all kinds of builds at a good price point. You can use the kit to build on RDAs and RTAs with no fuss at all – it’s plain simple, especially if you have made coils before for your atomizers. If you haven’t made any coils before, don’t worry I will be posting soon some tutorials on how to build on various RDAs and RTAs.
